It's almost the same between "疼 (téng)" and "痛 (tòng)", both mean "pain, ache", but "心疼 (xīn téng)" and "心痛 (xīn tòng) " are totally different.

疼和痛看似没什么区别，但是"心疼"和"心痛"完全是两码事。

In Chinese dictionary, "命 (life)" is the only character that is pronounced "mìng". It suggests everyone has only one life.

The pinyin of "睡眠" is "shuì mián" and "失眠" is "shī mián". One can't fall asleep, because "u (you)" are not around.

睡眠的拼音是shui mian，失眠的拼音是shi mian，辗转反侧夜不能寐，只因少了u。

"说错了话(shuō cuò le huà)/说了错话(shuō le cuò huà)/说错话了(shuō cuò huà le)/说话错了(shuō huà cuò le)/话说错了(huà shuō cuò le)" all mean "saying something wrong".

"说错了话/说了错话/说错话了/说话错了/话说错了"都是"saying something wrong"的意思。

Try to pronounce Chinese characters "喉 (hóu, throat)", "舌 (shé, tongue)", "齿 (chǐ, tooth)" and "唇 (chún, lip)" and feel where the sounds come from. Amazing, right?
