Students from other ethnic groups were encouraged to learn the Chinese language as an additional language to ensure the success of the Malaysian Education Blueprint (PPPM) 2013-2015.
马来西亚政府应鼓励其他族群的学生学习中文,以确保2013-2015年的马来西亚教育蓝图能够成功实现。
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said the essence of the PPPM showed that the government wanted to make the language as the third language in the country.
马来西亚总理府部长Wee Ka Siong拿督说,PPPM传达的意思是政府想让中文作为我国的第三语言。
"In the PPPM, we describe our dream to make Chinese as the third language… it was obvious. So we would encourage everyone to learn the language.
“在PPPM中,我们所描绘的梦想是使汉语成为第三语言…这在其中显而易见。所以我们会鼓励大家学习这门语言。”

“在我们的方言学校系统中,有15%的学生是来自其他族群(非华人)。PPPM将为非华人的学生提供一个提高他们汉语水平的机会,”拿督今天在吉隆坡告诉记者。
He was met by reporters after officiating the Chinese Language Teaching and Learning Enhancement Course in the Secondary School.

He said the students were also encouraged to master other languages to be more competitive.
他说,政府也鼓励学生同时掌握其他语言以增强他们的竞争力。
"This could be one of the advantages of Malaysians, that is to be able to speak multiple languages. Anyway, now it's a worldwide trend where people are starting to learn other languages besides their mother tongue and the English language," he said.
他还说:“能够运用多种语言的能力可以成为马来西亚的优势之一。无论如何,人们开始学习除母语和英语之外的其他语言已经成为一种全球趋势。”
